Southwark Playhouse’s new Elephant and Castle theatre opened this February with its first major production – a revival of Irish playwright Enda Walsh’s The Walworth Farce.

The hilarious and shocking dark comedy, which premiered in 2006, follows brothers Sean and Blake and their father Dinny, holed up in their tower block Walworth flat, as they endlessly re-enact the day they fled Ireland.

Southwark Playhouse has a brand new purpose-built theatre and it opens with a Bermondsey Revolution

Showing until March 18, 2023, the production will be followed by Ricky Simmonds and Simon Vaughan’s Berlusconi, from March 25 to April 29, 2023.

Southwark Playhouse Elephant is based at Dante Place, 80 Newington Butts, SE11 4FL.
