Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice as a gay panto went down a storm in Kennington pre-pandemic and now it’s back, with auditions opening in just over a week.

This queer adaption of the much loved classic has been remastered for Christmas for a three-week run again at the White Bear Theatre.

Adapted by Southwark News editor Kevin Quinn and produced by Elephant & Castle based theatre company Waste Not, they are currently on the look-out for a Mr Darcy, an Elizabeth Bennet , a Lady Catherine de Bourgh and a songstress in the shape of Lydia Bennet plus other parts that will re-tell this 1813 story in fabulous gay techno colour.
