Open Bar return with their first Spring show, a brand new adaptation of Sense and Sensibility.
Join the Dashwood sisters as they suddenly lose their father, their home and any hope of financial security. Together they must rely on the kindness of their colourful country relatives and battle the contradictions of 18th Century society to establish their place in the world. They will fall madly in love, suffer heartbreak and find themselves at the centre of plenty of gossip.
Four of your favourite Open Bar actors will bring Jane Austen’s iconic romantic comedy to life on 9th May at Longfield Hall and then in Fullers pubs across England. Tickets are limited so book early to avoid missing out.
Sense and Sensibility is bought to you by Open Bar Theatre, a company specialising in open air classics adaptations since 2016. So far they have graced various establishments with fun and frolicking Shakespeare from 6 person The Comedy Of Errors and As You Like It to riotous 4 person takes on Much Ado About Nothing and Loves Labours Lost to name but a few, picking up an Offie Nomination for Best Director along the way.
This year they are taking their love for playing with classics to the much loved Jane Austen. Faithful to the original story but highlighting all of the glorious fun of the characters and their situations, this four person version of fan favourite Sense and Sensibility will see Open Bar bring their new earlier tour with an added ‘Spring’ in their step.
