The West End’s longest running pantomime comes to the East End this Christmas, as Wilton’s Music Hall welcomes Olivier Award nominated festive celebration Potted Panto for its ninth London season.
Potted Panto, by double Olivier Award nominees Daniel Clarkson, Jefferson Turner and Richard Hurst, is a madcap ride through the biggest stories and best-loved characters from the wonderful world of pantomime.
In a high-octane, fun-filled tour through the biggest pantos and best-loved characters, our dastardly double act dash from rubbing Aladdin’s lamp to roaming the golden streets of Dick Whittington’s London and making sure that Cinderella shall go to the Ball.
Potted Panto had its West End premiere at the Vaudeville Theatre in 2010 and was subsequently nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Entertainment in 2011. The show has played a total of seven West End festive seasons at the Vaudeville (2010, 2011, 2013) and Garrick (2016, 2020, 2021, 2022), making it the West End’s longest running pantomime, as well as an off-West End season at Southwark Playhouse in 2019.
Seven classic pantomimes in 80 hilarious minutes – It is unmissable fun, whether you’re six or 106!
Dan and Jeff’s original Potted show and other Olivier nomination Potted Potter, also directed by Richard Hurst, is currently in its fifth year of a Las Vegas residency at Horseshoe Casino, where it has played over 1000 shows to date. The production was named Best New Show in the Best Of Las Vegas Awards following its premiere there in 2019, and recently premiered its first female cast in Dublin as part of an ongoing world tour.
