Southwark Residents Needed for Art Project
Do you live in Southwark? Would you enjoy creating a large scale artwork? On the 5th of July, this free, all day workshop will be facilitated by community coordinator Ayiesha Sankoh and artist Lulu Williams for local residents.
During this workshop you will create a large scale community mural that will be displayed in Stage Gallery for the month of July. All materials will be supplied.
Lulu and Ayiesha will begin the workshop with a relaxed brain-storming session to help generate shapes, colours, patterns and composition for the mural.
After a short lunch break, you will return to begin painting the mural with the help of prompts and direction from Lulu & Ayiesha. Expect paint rollers, bright colours, pastels, collage and much more,
This is for local people to have a fun day expressing themselves. No prior artistic experience is required – beginners are encouraged!
This workshop is appropriate for all ages, however children under 14 must attend with adult supervision.
