Ben Oakley & Liz Bentley present an evening of Open Mic, Comedy, Poetry, Spoken Word, and byob. They want people to join in or just be entertained. Share their work or listen to local performers.
This is an Open Call, an opportunity for first-timers to step up and air their wares, as well as seasoned authors, creative writers, and poets to do their thing. A local platform for encouragement and refinement.
Everyone can contribute (anonymously if preferred) type a line on our old-fashioned Typewriter, as you walk in! The finished article will be read out at the end of the night as a collective, collectable, brilliant poem.
Adding to the extravaganza will be Special Guest, author and poet, Rachel Pantechnicon, who may well bring the missing piece of the Bayeaux Tapestry if her cat isn’t sleeping on it when she journeys from Motspur Park… Expect the unexpected! .
Pre order tickets £5 here for entry. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ben-oakley-liz-bentley-present-perverse-verse-tickets-2003770564699
All profits raised go to St Christophers Hospice.
This is a safe space to build a like-minded community during the darker months.
We’ll all be doing something good, (rhyming not essential).
