Raising Wendover up before it is knocked to the ground
Artist collective Our Cube CIC presents The Aylesbury Voices: A Community in Motion, a dynamic exhibition at Walworth Town Hall Community Space exploring the legacy of the Aylesbury Estate, once home to 8,000 residents, amid regeneration, reflecting on what is gained and lost as homes and communities are reimagined.
The show features Harriet Mena Hill’s Soft Concretes and Aylesbury Fragments, alongside video, photography, drawings and archival audio created in collaboration with residents.

The event includes:
• Panel Discussion – 18 June, 6–8pm: Chaired by Diane Hutchinson, exploring how art amplifies community voices in consultation and development, featuring creatives, architects, residents and developers
• Drop-in Drawing Workshop – 21 June, 11am–4pm: Open to all ages, participants will contribute to a large-scale animated patchwork illustration, participants will help symbolically “raise” Wendover up before it is brought to the ground.
As part of LFA2025’s “Voices” programme, which celebrates diverse perspectives in shaping our built environment this project creates meaningful space for community narratives in architecture and regeneration.
Admission free. No booking needed for the drop-in workshop; free tickets required for the panel via Eventbrite.
