The Decline of a Distant Memory

FRUITS; Or The Decline of a Distant Memory is a dark, rotting, hazy, unsettling experience with bursts of fresh light, exploring the fall within the self; a devised and constantly evolving production made by queer migrants exploring the journey to (self) acceptance within our current socio-political context through fragmented pieces of memories, reconstructing the many selves we once were.

Presented through a series of exciting and electric vignettes, three entities that are stuck in the midst of space and time search for purpose by morphing into different characters. With a yearning desire in the air and at the edge of oblivion, they will navigate through their fragmented journey in raw and atmospheric performances. Ultimately giving us a love story between the self and its reflection.

A burst of sweet and bitter flavours question who we should be.

“We aim to put vulnerability centre stage and by employing a dream logic thread to our fragmented story, we encourage the audience to find the answers and discover a personal narrative through their own pensiveness. The spectators are immersed in this uncanny space fuelled with symbolism and patterns that takes them on an emotional journey towards hope.” TAKDAJA
