Return of the 10 Commandments

Based on real experiences,Thou Shalt Sit The F** Down is a filthy, unhinged and laugh-out-loud queer comedy returning to the stage following a sold-out run at Lambeth Fringe.

Written and performed by Ben Everett Riley and directed by Oneikeh Campbell, the show dives headfirst into the chaotic world of children’s entertainment, mental health, economic disparity and the absurd lengths performers go to in pursuit of “the tip”.

Will is not just a professional. He is the professional. Booked every weekend. Rarely fazed by anything: Special requests? Piece of cake. And he stays primed and raring to go by religiously following his “10 commandments”.

But when his boss makes him train up a gorgeous twinky newbie, the rulebook gets thrown out the window, and Will finds his firm routine isn’t as rock solid as he thought…

Funny, messy and just a little bit dangerous, Thou Shalt Sit The F** Down* blends razor-sharp writing with outrageous comedy, bubbles, Australian daddies, pretentious kids and a gorgeous twinky newbie who turns one man’s carefully controlled world upside down. Inspired by real experiences, the production explores queer identity, performance and survival with humour and heart – all wrapped up in a gloriously chaotic hour of fringe theatre.
