MILLWALL supporters were in typically defiant form at Fratton Park on Wednesday night as they belted out one of their classics in the dark at Fratton Park.
The Lions’ Championship clash against Portsmouth was scheduled to kick off at 7.45pm before the floodlights went out as the players were preparing to enter the pitch.
There appeared to be little information on the hosts’ side as the squads, managers, staffs and fans were left to wait wondering if there would be a game.
It was particularly frustrating for the 2,700 Lions supporters who had made the trip. They had to keep an eye on train times back to London and the majority no doubt had early starts at work the next day.
It was conveyed to the stadium almost an hour after the scheduled start that the game would be postponed.
The visiting contingent hadn’t stood in silence in the away end as the wait went on, as this video from Millwall fan Jack Clarke proves.
