MILLWALL attacker Kavalli Heywood has signed a new contract with the Lions.
Heywood helped Larry McAvoy and Chris Perry’s side reach the FA Youth Cup semi-finals last season, where they lost 4-3 to Leeds United at Elland Road.
Heywood was the competition’s top-scorer last season with seven goals.
He also scored twice in Millwall’s 3-1 win against Swansea City in the Professional Development League Cup final
“Kavalli’s developed really well,” McAvoy told Southwark News last season. “He come in at the under-13s and he was someone who came with a lot of ability but just needed some work in terms of the professionalism of the game and tidying his game up and making good decisions.
“He had a tough season last season where he perhaps didn’t get the goals or the outcomes that he wanted but this season he’s played a lot more and he’s a confidence player. When he’s confident, he’s really difficult to play against.”
Heywood will move up to Kevin Nugent’s under-21s this season.
